VISION, MISSION STATEMENT.

Vision:

Bringing into existence a society where youth use their potentials to bring up brotherhood and sisterhood. This is to help youth face challenges in life as one family as we unite to shine light and hope to the society.

Mission:

To empower children, youth and women in Kibera through a variety of community based leadership, social and economic services in the community.

To ensure this works, the organization has divided some of the responsibilities to achieve this in the following sectors.

1.ART FOR DEVELOPMENT.

Objectives:
  • To help create youth and community awareness on life challenges.
  • To enhance positive living in the community despite the challenges.
  • To help create ethnic cohesion through peace building activities. 
  • Conducting to help empower the community in terms of civic education.

2.COMMUNITY SERVICE.


 Objectives:
  • Reaching out to help the less fortunate.
  • Create good relationship with local community members who are challenged.
  • Creating clean and safe environment for all.
  • Reaching and educating the challenged.

 3.SPORTS FOR CHANGE.

Objectives:
  • Develop youth skills.
  • Talent identification and development.
  • Physical health.
  • Life skills.
  • Team work.
  • Social entrepreneurship development.
  • Peace building and conflict management.
For a youth to qualify to be a member of F.O.H, he/she must have the following  core values:

1. Integrity
Honesty, Transparency and being accountable for the effectiveness of our actions and often in our judgment and communication with others.

2. Collaboration
Partnering with community members and organizations working in empowering and transformation of the community.

3. Fairness, Equity and Justice.
Ensuring that regardless of sex, age, race, color, class, or religion, everyone has equal opportunity to participate, express their opinions and utilize their potentials for the well being of the community.

4. Humility
Recognizing that we are part of a big alliance against poverty and other social concerns affecting communities, therefore requiring modest presentation and behavior.


5. Courage and Conviction
Being creative and radical without fear of failure in pursuit of the highest possible impact in the efforts to combat poverty and other community concerns.

Recognizing the innate dignity and worth of all people and the value of diversity.

Ensuring that our services are conveniently and efficiently offered and therefore reliable to the beneficiary in the right time.
